We believe in careful placement of animals with people who are responsible and devoted to their pets. Most vital is our need to know that it is a legitimate adoption as a "companion pet" and that the animal will not be used for medical purposes, or as a guard dog or fighting dog.  Once we take in a cat or dog we make a commitment to that animal to do our best to ensure he or she will have a happy and safe future.

Therefore, Friends of Animals Foundation will not place a cat or dog for adoption until the home has been fully checked. All animals are delivered to their new, prospective homes. Compatibility between the animal and his or her potential guardian and environment is closely observed, especially if other pets or young children will be present in the home. If the situation is acceptable to all parties concerned, an agreement assuring the animal’s welfare is signed by the adopting individual.

For the protection of the dog or cat, the ANIMAL MUST BE RETURNED TO US IF FOR ANY REASON THE ADOPTION DOES NOT WORK OUT. We also try to keep in touch with our adopting families and ask them to contact us for any help we might be able to offer if problems arise. It is our lifelong commitment to each animal that we will do our best to make sure he or she will be protected, cared for and never again forsaken.

An adoption fee is required. This gives us further proof of a family’s commitment and their ability to support the dog or cat. These fees also help us to pay large bills for food, veterinarian costs, kennel caretakers, medication and other charges.
